In memory of Surly and to hoping we can save more!

This year i’m hoping to raise more money for dogs like big sur. Surly changed my life and I miss her big voice every single day still. I’m hoping to help raise money for the medical dogs and older dogs that get forgotten about. 

Surly ended up in a pound at age 11 and left there forgotten about. NDLB got her out and I had the great opportunity to foster her for the rest of her life. She was 8 days shy of 1 year in rescue when her body gave up. Surly was such a special old lady who changed my entire life. I hope we never forget about the old dogs that need us just as much. 

Another dog I want to put light on is miss Queen who helped heal my heart slightly after Big sur left me. Queen needed super intense surgeries to ensure she lives a good life these surgeries costs the rescue thousands of dollars. She needed ear surgery, tail amputation and a nose surgery so she could breathe better. 

I have fostered a ton of dogs this year but these two have my whole heart 🫶🏼 

Queen has since been adopted and is loving her best life. 

Big sur crossed the rainbow bridge and lives in my heart every single day. 🫶🏼🌈
