At Black Community Board MN (BCB), we believe in the power of providing resources and opportunities for youth and young professionals to step into their leadership potential. We are fundraising to cover essential program costs for three impactful initiatives: the Fellowship for Freedom Fighters, Bridging the Gap Series, and the Youth Research Task Force. With your support, we can meet our funding goals and continue empowering the next generation to create meaningful change.

Fellowship for Freedom Fighters

The Fellowship for Freedom Fighters is a transformative leadership program focused on advocacy, policy, and social justice. Each fellow gains hands-on experience and mentorship, learning how to create systemic change. Our total program budget is $93,000, with each fellow receiving a matched savings fellowship award valued at 300% of their initial investment. Your support could directly fund a fellow’s journey:

  • ✨ $500 supports a fellowship match savings award for one fellow, fueling their path to financial empowerment.
  • ✨ $5,000 helps provide a business grant, allowing a young entrepreneur to launch a vision rooted in community and social change.

Bridging the Gap Series

Our Bridging the Gap Series brings generations together, combining workshops, forums, and even pitch competitions to build connections across cultural divides. The program has a total budget of $62,500 and covers costs for facilitators, software, marketing, and program coordination. Every dollar brings us closer to fully funding this program:

  • ✨ $100 covers enrollment fees, opening doors for a young person to access life-changing sessions.
  • ✨ $10,000 could empower a cohort of HBCU scholars with scholarships, supporting their academic journeys.

Youth Research Task Force

Our Youth Research Task Force is an innovative program that trains young people to conduct critical research, using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) Model. With a budget of $252,500, we aim to hire youth analysts, engage a research evaluation professional, and cover program materials. This initiative helps youth develop skills to influence policy and drive change in their communities:

  • ✨ $25,000 supports community-driven research, enabling us to engage youth in creating evidence-based solutions to address systemic issues.

Your Impact

Each dollar you contribute goes directly toward building brighter futures and fostering a community of change-makers. Here’s how you can help:

  • ✨ $100 opens doors for program enrollment.
  • ✨ $500 supports a fellowship savings match for one fellow.
  • ✨ $5,000 offers a business grant, empowering young entrepreneurs.
  • ✨ $10,000 provides scholarships for HBCU scholars.
  • ✨ $25,000 funds participatory action research, ensuring youth-led insights are heard.

Help us bridge gaps, build leaders, and pave the way for future generations by investing in these critical programs. Together, we can create pathways to empowerment, resilience, and lasting change in our community. Thank you for joining us on this journey to impact!
