Peace and Welcome to Black Community Board MN (BCB) fundraising page! At BCB, we exist to empower Black youth and young professionals with the tools, resources, and confidence to transform their communities. Built on the legacy of the legends whose sacrifice paved the way, BCB is about bridging gaps, breaking barriers, and empowering future generations. We’re not just shaping leaders—we’re building liberated, unstoppable changemakers who will redefine the future.

Our mission is to eliminate racial disparities and uplift our community by creating meaningful opportunities for personal growth and professional advancement. Through culturally rooted programs, we equip emerging leaders to fully realize their potential, driven by purpose and an unwavering commitment to their communities. We envision a future where our people thrive as strong advocates with fearless voices, unbound by any limits on thought, expression, or movement.

At BCB, we know every barrier in opportunity or access represents untapped potential. By cultivating leadership and dedication to the community, we’re unlocking that potential and setting the stage for real liberation. Join us, and let’s build a future defined by strength, resilience, and boundless possibilities.

Our Story

Founded out of a deep desire to bridge disparity gaps and build a more equitable society, BCB was created to meet the urgent need for culturally competent leadership and civic education in Minnesota. Since our inception in 2022, we have brought together youth and young professionals from underserved communities in the Twin Cities and beyond through mentorship programs, leadership workshops, and advocacy initiatives. Our signature programs, including the Bridging the Gaps Series, Youth Research Task Force, and Freedom Fighter Fellowship, have established BCB as a recognized safe space where young leaders tackle issues that matter most: racial equity, safety, institutional integrity, and economic empowerment.

The Power of a Dream: A Vision for the Future

This Give to the Max Day, we’re asking you to help us bring our vision to life: establishing a permanent, dynamic community hub for Black Community Board MN (BCB) at 2737 Penn Avenue North in Minneapolis. This space isn’t just a building—it’s the foundation of a movement. As our headquarters, cultural center, and empowerment zone, it will be a place where youth and young professionals can come together, tap into vital resources, and engage in programs that fuel their growth and leadership.

Imagine a space where young minds connect to their roots while boldly shaping tomorrow. A center alive with energy—filled with young advocates learning to research, organize, and build policy that tackles the issues they care about and impacts them. Picture a place where systems are challenged, and solutions are crafted. Mentorship, creativity, and empowerment will flow through every room, empowering young leaders to make real change in our communities

With your support, we can create a space that inspires action and fosters lifelong commitment to community impact. Let’s make this vision a reality—join us in building a powerful home for BCB and the next generation of changemakers.
