KIPP MN launched in 2008 and is a K-8 charter school which provides free education to 250 students at its North Minneapolis campus KIPP North Star. With a team of over 50 educators, leaders, support staff, and administrators that is over 86% BIPOC, our team reflects and understands the culture and needs of our student body and community.

HOW YOUR GIVING IMPACTS
OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY

$25

Provides a student with two uniform shirts to wear to school. The purpose of implementing school uniforms is to help our students focus on learning and to create a positive and equitable culture.

$50
Covers the cost for one staff member to receive Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training to learn de-escalation skills, how to foster positive classroom culture, and crisis intervention skills. Our goal is for all 34 staff members who work directly with students to complete this training.

$100

Provides one student access to an online personalized learning program called iReady to practice Math and English skills at school and at home. This online adaptive program caters to each student's specific needs, and allows the classroom teacher to view the results and progress to best support each student.

$150

Feeds one student nutritional meals for a whole month including a hot breakfast, snack and lunch.

$500
Buys one keyboard for our music room to encourage more enriching music classes for our students. Our goal is to purchase 10 keyboards and stands for our music elective.

$1,000

Covers the registration cost and round-trip airfare for one staff member designated by our leadership team to attend a week-long Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Conference in July 2025 and become a certified instructor. Our goal is to have two staff members attend and gain certification in order to equip and train our staff members for the following school year.
