Kristen's Fundraiser for The Childbirth Collective

Hi friends and family!

This November, I’m raising funds for an organization close to my heart—the Twin Cities Childbirth Collective, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to empowering birth workers, families, and birthing people. Our mission is to improve birth experiences through professional doula support, evidence-based care, and community education.

I've had the privilege of serving as the Board President for the past two years, and as my term comes to a close, I’m committed to continuing my support of the Collective’s life-changing work.

Why This Work Matters
Each year, hundreds of people in the Twin Cities go into labor without the critical knowledge needed to make empowered decisions. In fact, 40% of birthing people report feeling uninformed about their options, which impacts their ability to advocate for themselves and their babies.

The Twin Cities Childbirth Collective fills this gap. Through free monthly gatherings, we offer essential education and support to help expectant families feel informed, confident, and prepared. We also provide workshops for birth professionals to ensure they’re equipped with the latest, most compassionate care practices, actively working to close disparities in birth outcomes.

Why This Means So Much to Me
Being a doula can sometimes feel isolating, especially when most of us run independent practices. Through my membership in the Collective, I’ve connected with an incredible community of birth workers—many of whom are now my backup partners, collaborators, and friends. The Collective has been essential in fostering this community, and together, we’re better equipped to support the birthing families we serve.
