Bucket Brigade believes in telling hopeful stories. The kind of hope that artist Nick Cave describes as “hard earned… Hopefulness is not a neutral position. It is adversarial. It is the warrior emotion that can lay waste to cynicism. Each redemptive, or loving act, as small as you like…says the world and its inhabitants are worth defending. It says the world is worth believing in.”
Support Bucket Brigade as we continue doing the hopeful, hard work of making art and courageously telling stories that believe in this world and its inhabitants.
Donate Thursday, November 21st Give to the Max Day, to help us reach our goal of $20,000 so we can continue this hope-filled, good work.
And, we’re excited to announce a Matching Gift! Every donation made will be matched, dollar for dollar, for the first $7,000! Thank you to our Match Donors for getting the giving underway!
Plus, every donation given on Nov. 21st makes us eligible for bonus GiveMN “Golden Tickets” ranging from $500 to $10,000! Your $10 donation could turn into $10k!
Thank you— for joining the staff, actors, designers, student artists, volunteers, donors, and community partners– we’re all Bucket Brigade and together, we can hope for, and work toward, a world worth believing in.

Here’s what we’re hoping for in 2025!
• January 31st-February 15th– ‘Til Death: A Marriage Musical. Lucky you! It’s the 13th season of our hit Valentine’s show! Featuring the loony, lovable real-life married couples you’ve laughed (and cried) with over the years. Come celebrate lasting love— in all its confounding, glorious, enduring ridiculousness.
• April 25th-May 10th, 2025— Joyful Noise, by Tim Slover. The unbelievably true tale of the unlikely origin of Handel’s Messiah. An enduring and inspiring piece of music that almost didn’t get written. It’s a celebration of music, and the passionate pursuit of what truly moves us.
• Spring 2025– Our 7th Annual Spring Smorgasbord! Join us as we share a tasty variety of good music, good stories and good food for our spring fundraiser concert and give a glimpse of the next new Bucket Brigade original!
• July 2025– Summer Theater Camps– bringing student artists together to share their stories through original, topical theater in their own words.
• September 2025– We’re hoping to secure grants and additional funding to bring our new play-with-music, Survivors of the Fire, back to the Hinckley Fire Museum Labor Day weekend. We were overwhelmed with gratitude by the response to last year’s premiere and are hoping to re-kindle a yearly tradition of honoring and remembering those who survived and perished in the Great Hinckley Fire of 1894.

Bucket Brigade is a fiscally sponsored program of Springboard for the Arts – a non-profit that provides sponsorship for arts groups that are not ready to become tax-exempt nonprofit organizations. In other words, they make it possible for groups like us to receive tax-deductible grants and donations as we grow.
