Books for Peacemakers

PeaceMaker Minnesota provides books to youth in grades K - 5 that teach essential social skills such as advocating for oneself and others, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, friendship building, handling teasing, and developing self-esteem.  

These impactful resources enhance literacy while fostering critical thinking and effective communication. Students understand these vital concepts more deeply through reading, discussing, and writing about the content. 

The opportunity to keep the books for future reference or share them with others reinforces the lessons, helping young learners apply their knowledge in and out of the classroom.  

When requested, PeaceMaker Minnesota provides funding to schools so that they can bring in a professional storyteller to lead interactive classroom discussions about a book.
