Update: March 18, 2021
This campaign originated for individuals to show some love for Midway and the businesses across Saint Paul that were damaged in the civil unrest following the murder of George Floyd. The Goal/Total here shows the amount raised by individuals since the fund was started in 2020.
The Saint Paul Area Chamber Charitable Foundation along with the Midway Chamber and the St. Paul Downtown Alliance initially raised $1.3 Million dollars in total (from both individuals here and from organizations listed at www.stpaulchamber.com) to provide direct support to small businesses and nonprofits to help them rebuild their storefronts, reopen their businesses and serve our community. We have distributed $975,000 dollars as of March 15, 2021 and we are continuing to distribute money to businesses that were damaged by unrest or had to close due to unrest; many of which are also greatly impacted by COVID-19.
Businesses are still in need (and they will be again should more unrest happen during or after the trials) and we would love for you to consider making a making a tax-deductible donation today.
