Help Feed Hungry People Delicious Vegan Meals

Every $5 you give helps a hungry person eat. Every low carbon plant-based meal we serve helps our climate and spares animal lives. Together, we can create a world where humans and farmed animals can live sustainably.

Since January 2024, Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA) volunteers have been collaborating with Simpson Housing Services to provide vegan meals for people experiencing homelessness.  We’re putting our vision into action--creating a world where all animals, human and non-human, can thrive.

Many of our volunteers are new to CAA - some are environmentalists, high school students or people that just enjoy cooking.   

The enthusiasm of the volunteers and the great feedback from guests has encouraged us to expand.  Initially we served one meal per month.  In 2025, we increased to two and next year we plan to provide three lunches every month.  

We need your help to pay for the food that guests are enjoying!  You can make a one-time donation or help us continue our vegan meal program into next year and beyond by making a recurring monthly donation.  

At every lunch we feed 40 people.  In the first 2 years of this program we've provided over 1,500 meals and we hope to serve 1,500 more in 2026.  The more lunches we cook, the more time, energy and funds Simpson can devote to their mission of housing, supporting and empowering people impacted by homelessness.
