The Cyclists of Gitchee Gumee Shores (COGGS) is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to improving year-round off-road trail opportunities in the Twin Ports area.
A volunteer-based organization of mountain bike and outdoor recreational enthusiasts dedicated to developing and maintaining a world-class network of sustainable MTB and multi-use trails in the Twin Ports area of upper MN and WI.
After more than 25 years, COGGS is stronger than ever. While our MTB trail system is nearing completion, we are developing programming, advocacy, partnerships, sustainable practices and outreach to ensure the Twin Ports remain a leader in MTB infrastructure and a world-class outdoor recreation destination.

The Duluth Traverse (DT), over 40 miles of almost continuous single track from one end of Duluth to the other, is nearing completion. When complete this will tie all of Duluth's major ride areas together and ensure that everyone in the Twin Ports has easy access to high quality, sustainable, all-level MTB trails.😊More details and maps here.

BACKGROUND
COGGS was started in 1994 when the Superior Bikers and the North Star Bike Club combined. In 2011 COGGS became a chapter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), an organization which has guided us forward through sustainable trail building use and development, and trail advocacy within the greater Duluth, MN community.
