Storytelling in These Wild Times-Online Class
Your reward for donating to the fundraiser is a spot in our class!
The ability to tell a great story is one of the most powerful skills that you can have. This class
is for storytellers that have taken Storytelling I or have some sort of equal experience telling their stories. We will use the power of our narratives to dive into life in these wild times. We will work on lots of writing exercises to unlock creativity and unique stories and work on crafting a 10-15 minute story that focuses on scenic development and robust characters. Keep your stories flowing while at home! If we have enough interest we will do an online student showcase at the end of class.
Who should take this class? You should have taken Storytelling I or equivalent or have a fair amount of performing experience. If you have questions ask! allison@strike.theater. Perfect for artists of other genres that want to learn about storytelling or for storytellers that have slammed and want to build a deeper tool kit.
Teacher: Allison Broeren is the co-owner of Strike, a Moth Mainstage performer, host of the Story SlamMN!, a founding member of the Rockstar Storytellers, and director of Word Sprout. She has seen over 1000 stories on the slam stage and can’t wait to geek out on storytelling with you.
Cost: This Class is usually $175, but in these uncertain times we are asking for whatever donations fit your current lifestyle. This class will run if it collectively raises $500+. 100% of registrations will go towards keeping Strike Theater open during the COVID-19 Crisis.
