WonderTrek Children's Museum aims to bring back everyday play for the children in Region Five. We are raising money to expand our current programming materials to ensure WonderTrek on Wheels is bringing a fun and new experience to children each time they come out to play.
Even as an emerging children's museum, WonderTrek has been busy creating learning experiences with children, families, and educators around the region. Whether at pop-up venues or WonderTrek's Play Lab in the Franklin Art Center, WonderTrek sets the stage for children to follow their interests through open-ended play and interactive learning programs. Interesting materials, intriguing settings, and imaginative activities provide an invitation to play that keeps families coming back again and again. What’s WonderTrek’s secret? Play > Explore > Learn > Repeat!
WonderTrek has identified three new program materials we aim to add to WonderTrek on Wheels this year. You can help make it happen!
Goal one is the addition of new large motor materials including a piklar triangle along with many climbing accessories. Check it out below!
Goal two is the addition of Superspace Tiles. These giant magnetic tiles are made for both indoor and outdoor use and allow for endless creative building and imaginative play possibilities.
Goal three is the addition of the Kodo Kids Light Laboratory. The Light Laboratory allows children to manipulate color, hue, and intensity. It encourages investigation of the fundamental element of light. Children will naturally engage in dramatic play, construction, problem-solving, and more as they immerse themselves in exploration.
Each of these program materials offers open-ended play and will become a part of our WonderTrek on Wheels mobile exhibits. WonderTrek on Wheels brings the fun and joy of play, exploration, and learning to children and families across North Central Minnesota. From community parks to classrooms, from community service organizations to summer festivals, WonderTrek meets families where they are with admission-free programming that launches imaginations and inspires a love of learning.
Donate today to help WonderTrek Children's Museum bring back everyday play for all of our children in Minnesoa's Region Five, which includes the counties of Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd, and Wadena!
