Welcome to our page. We have chosen the name Soldiers 6 seeing it fitting that our service dog will always have his soldiers or officers 6( always have their back) In May 2015, my husband Ed was awarded a specially trained PTSD service dog. It has changed our lives for the better. At the time ,Ed was retiring from the police department. He had been diagnosed with PTSD, depression, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain due to chemicals and nerve agents he was exposed to when deployed. The past few years for our family have been rough. ️Eds illness takes over and he sees no hope for the future. His mind is a constant battleground for intrusive memories from the war. His PTSD almost won a few times and took ️Ed from us forever. Rex has changed that for us and Christmas 2015, our family had a fundraiser to hopefully raise enough funds to give back. Our fundraiser was more than we dreamed. Our community came together and showed ️Ed the love and support he not only needed but deserves. We were successful. Since then we have created Soldiers 6, a 501c3, to provide service dogs to veterans and police officers, firefighters, correctional officers, paramedics, and 911 dispatchers in Minnesota. We awarded our first dog, service K9 Six in April 2016 and have been going strong since. We have successfully placed 30 dogs and counting!!! With your donations,

$50 would pay for the 1st set of puppy shots.

$100 pays for an hour of training.

$300 is the start up cost to place a dog in our recipients home.

$750 pays for the adoption fees of the puppy.

Help us spread the word about what we do and know we are always here for support. If you know someone , or you are that someone, who could benefit from a life changing love  of a dog, please send me a message.
