Twin Cities Music Therapy Scholarship Program
A nonprofit fundraiser supporting
Springboard for the Arts$7,151
raised by 30 people
$11,000 goal
At Twin Cities Music Therapy Services, we believe all people should have access to music therapy services!
The purpose of this fundraiser is to expand access to music therapy services for Minnesotans in need. Music therapy is not reimbursed through private insurance, or Medical Assistance in the state of Minnesota. 100% of donations will be used to create a scholarship program for individuals who otherwise would not be able to access services.
Your donation will directly support someone's well-being through a creative process during this challenging time!
Our Goal is to provide full music therapy scholarships for at least 5 individuals for 6-12 weeks of sessions.
Scholarship Applicants must meet the following Criteria:
1) individuals who do not have access to State and County Funding for music therapy services (HCBS Waivers through CDCS or ILS Therapies, CSG, and FSG)
2) Individual/Family has experienced financial hardship and/or meets Income Requirements for Scholarship Program
3) Individual demonstrates a need for music therapy services
At least two scholarships will be reserved for applicants in historically marginalized groups (BIPOC & LGBTQAI+).
Thank you for supporting our scholarship program, and for helping to promote access to music therapy services for those in need!
Sincerely,
Lindsay Markworth, MMT, MT-BC

What is Music Therapy?
At Twin Cities Music Therapy Services, we use music to promote growth through discovering and developing a person’s existing strengths and resources. Each client’s unique process takes place in the music. We use music to establish rapport, build the therapeutic relationship, assess the client’s strengths and needs, facilitate goal-directed development, and evaluate progress in therapy.
Who can benefit from Music Therapy?
Our music therapists specialize in working with people of all ages with disabilities, neurodivergences, mental health needs and older adults.
