$10,000 goal

The mission of Hope for Tomorrow is to empower young teens to realize their full personal and academic potential by reinforcing critical life skills through mentoring relationships with caring adults.

Adult volunteers meet monthly with 8th graders during the school year to help them successfully transition to high school – and beyond. We have 14 chapters in 7 Minnesota cities serving over 170 teens. We also have alumni chapters that support students during their high school years.

Your donation covers curriculum development on topics such as goal-setting and how to make a good first impression. Your support also helps take our teens on field trips to visit a workplace and a college campus so they can envision their life after high school.

As of fall 2019 there are 14 chapters in 7 Minnesota cities, including Bloomington, Burnsville, Lakeville, Eagan, Farmington, Rosemount, and St. Paul.

Boys’ chapters began forming in 2008. Starting in 2019 there will be boys groups active in 4 cities—Bloomington, Burnsville, Rosemount and Lakeville.

In 2006, alumni groups have formed in Bloomington and Lakeville. These gatherings with former mentees provide opportunities for mentors to continue to offer support through the students’ high school years.
