Everyone needs a second chance sometimes. Together, let's help those in search of a new start.

We provide support and friendship for people reentering society after incarceration.

At Amicus and Volunteers of America Minnesota (VOA), we believe everyone deserves a second chance - and we know that second chances aren't always easy. We offer a broad menu of supports, from friendship to transitional housing, that seek to meet people where they are and support their transition out of incarceration and back into community.

Together, we can do more.

Building thriving communities where every person can reach their full potential takes all of us. And we all are better off when we ensure that people coming out of incarceration have a fair shot at well-being.

We couldn't do what we do without your partnership. Thank you!

When we say "we couldn't do what we do without your partnership," we really mean it! Amicus isn't simply a program - it's a community of volunteers, supporters, staff, and clients who proudly proclaim, We Are Amicus!

We're always happy to welcome new volunteers, whether you're interested in collecting hygiene items at work or in your faith community, joining a support group, becoming a friend to someone in prison, or anything in between. Contact Jacquie Esparza at 612-277-3002 to learn more.
