United for Veterans Holiday Meal Kits

$100 fills a holiday meal package for a local veteran and their family to spend an entire weekend together!

Each year, UWNEMN's United for Veterans committee partners with local service groups and businesses to identify local veterans in need, purchase food perfect for the holidays, and to pack and deliver meal kits in time for the holidays. This year, this delivery is more important than ever as this holiday season stands to be particularly difficult for those in need and those who are homebound.

Fundraising for the packages has been impacted by the pandemic, so every dollar will make a huge difference!

ABOUT UNITED FOR VETERANS:

UWNEMN is collaborating with local veterans and community stakeholders to increase supportive services for veterans and their families on the Iron Range. Recently, UWNEMN partnered with MACV to open a transitional home with supportive programming for local veterans who are homeless or facing homelessness.  Additionally, United for Veterans manages a veterans’ crisis fund, created and distributed a local Military Connections Guide, hosts annual retreats, and provides free confidential therapy sessions.
