Expand MDI's Unified Work Academy

KENNY never dreamed he would land a job where he could learn so much. Not only has he trained on three different machines, but at MDI he is also dedicating time on his professional and personal goals through Unified Work trainings.

DEBORAH was piecing together two and three part-time jobs while her kids were at school and her husband worked nights. Since joining us full-time three years ago she’s been able to work up to line lead and is taking a one college class each semester, courtesy of MDI.

Because of your generosity, Kenny and Deborah and hundreds of people with a disability are working toward their best selves. People with disabilities experience unemployment at twice the national average and are rarely offered career training on the job. At MDI we have found it pays off for everyone.

Unified Work classes are delivered in a classroom setting, brought in person to other communities, is being created to live on demand/in the cloud, and an intern program is being developed for 2023. MDI wants to give people with disabilities the same shot at success as the rest of us.

Here's how you can partner with us to expand our reach:

$10,000 is an investment in MDI’s online learning platform in the cloud to house both virtual reality training and career skills classes on demand.

$5,000 will send MDI’s Unified Work car on the road to bring career training to students in smaller communities.

$2,500 will help create Career Skills 301 – an advanced class of Unified Work that will coach people with disabilities in interviewing and resume writing both in the cloud and in person.

$1,000 will help MDI recruit businesses to partner for Unified Work – how to launch a program toward a truly diverse staff of people with and without disabilities.

$500 helps us create simulated workplace videos.

$250 lets people with disabilities take the DISC training and learn the value of a diverse team.

$100 contributes to S.M.A.R.T. goals training.

$50 buys educational materials for a Mobile Class.
