What a wonderful sight!
Hay Everyone! This photo is from a few weeks ago and what a wonderful sight it was to see this truckload of hay arrive at the ranch. Thank you for all the ways you support the ranch! We had a great first annual Hay Day Dinner and are already exited about next year’s event! Thanks to all the folks who sponsored these bales!!
Each fall, Hope Rides purchases a combination of approximately 200 large squares/round bales at approximately $100 per bale. In Minnesota there is no pasture land between October-May and in such each fall Hope Rides has to fund 6 months of hay to feed the horses over the winter to the tune of about $19.200. Yes. You read it correct. The Herd of 24 horses at Hope Rides consume $19,200 worth of hay during the 6 months of Minnesota weather.
While it is free to visit/participate in ranch mentorship programs, the cost to run a program of this nature is not. Your sponsorship will empower the ranch to continue to be able to offer our programs free of charge and eliminate financial boundaries that would keep individuals who need support from getting it.
