$5,000 goal

As members of St Joan of Arc and the Sister Parish Inc. Board of Directors, we are raising funds to keep our relationships and our organization strong.

We have each been active in St Joan of Arc's relationship with TN2 in Guatemala for years. Having visited on delegations, we experienced firsthand the power of this partner relationship, celebrating its 30 year anniversary this year.

Sister Parish (SPI) changes lives by offering the opportunity to develop personal connections as people of faith in the U.S. and Central America. These connections are transformative and, through them, we can act as equal partners in building peace with justice.

Historically, every three years, SPI conducts a fundraiser for special requests. With our Light Up Our Communities in Solidarity fundraising campaign, the first since 2019, we hope to not only meet our needs as an organization, but also set aside designated funds for key initiatives.

By raising $20,000 above and beyond what we normally raise, we will be able to:

  • Offer delegation travel scholarships.
  • Invite a member from the south to visit U.S. existing and potential Sister Parish churches.
  • Provide emergency funds as crises arise in Guatemala and El Salvador.
  • Facilitate the work of our Central America team.

From June 23-30, 2024, with the help of our matching fund donors and fundraising team, we hope to raise $20,000 for our mission, with our team raising a portion of that total. Thanks to a group of generous donors, the campaign can match your donations up to $7,000.

Thank you for helping us reach our goal. We could not do what we do without people like you.  You are helping us change lives, one loving relationship at a time.

Thank you,
Cathy, Kate and Patricia
