Update #2
At Rumriver Art Center, creativity isn’t just our passion—it’s our purpose. Thanks to your support, we've empowered over 14,000 students this year through affordable and accessible art programs. As the demand for creative outlets rises and arts programs face shrinking budgets, we recognize that art’s ability to connect, heal, and inspire is more vital than ever.
Take Casey, for example, a veteran new to our community who came to Rumriver Art Center seeking peace after a difficult period in the military. What he found went far beyond art classes- he discovered a welcoming community. Today Casey not only attends classes but also volunteers and has become a part of the family at Rumriver.
“Art has been incredibly therapeutic for me, especially dealing with anxiety. It helps distract me from difficult thoughts and gives me a sense of calm and focus that I really need.” - Casey
Art programs are often the first to face budget cuts, and the effects can ripple through communities. This makes our mission at Rumriver Art Center all the more urgent. Through partnerships with schools, libraries, senior centers, and free community events like Art-A-Thon, we’re determined to expand our reach to new audiences every day, ensuring that the healing power of art remains accessible for all. Thank you for your support and donation!
