The students at St. Anthony Park Elementary received a very special message of encouragement this morning from the friendly, neighborhood, library-loving, vivacious, vocabulary-powered superhero, WORDGIRL!!!!!! WOW! We had no idea our enthusiastic reading during the 15th Annual Read-A-Thon was generating so much energy we are detectable from outer space!!!!
Be a Reading Hero!
After a pause last year, Read-a-Thon is back! Our goal is to read 195,000 minutes this year, and our fundraising goal is $8,100. The money raised will go directly to the St. Anthony Park School Association (SAPSA) general fund, which is used to support the St. Anthony Park Elementary school community in a variety of ways. In a typical year, donations made to SAPSA are used to pay for art supplies, science materials, musical instruments, classroom supplies, library books, field trips, and the artist in residence program.
Thank you so much for your support of reading, and your support of the St. Anthony Park Elementary school community.
