The Silos are Telling Our Community's Story
Thank you to all the great supporters of the Ardent Mills Silos project. Completed at the end of June 2020, we hope this monument will continue to inspire thoughtful conversations around who we are and who we wish to be as a community. Please help us to continue telling stories of the Greater Mankato area through your support of our work.
The creative energy in Greater Mankato is palpable. Everywhere you turn, you are experiencing the impact of the arts. Twin Rivers' biggest impact to date is the Silo Art Project. After six years of planning, Twin Rivers was able to make this massive public art project a reality. This artwork is going to have far reaching impacts on our entire community including tourism, economic investment, talent attraction/retention, but perhaps most importantly, the joy and sense of well being it brings to our community.
Greater Mankato needs an organization whose mission is to focus on and cultivate a vibrant creative community. Twin Rivers is that organization. We are small, but mighty, and need your help in order to bring more creative impact to our city.
Your financial support of Twin Rivers programming makes possible free and accessible public art programs like the CityArt Walking Sculpture Tour, Art on the Go, and Silo Art. Twin Rivers also offers direct services to artists and arts organizations in our community. Services such as fiscal sponsorship, bulk mail, and marketing opportunities that can deplete organizations of time and energies that are better spent by artists on their creative pursuits.
We are at a critical juncture in the organization as we begin to refocus energy on strengthening our support services for local artists and organizations even as we continue our community development work. Your support will help sustain this organization as we build new infrastructure geared towards building economic and racial equity into our arts community.
Our goal is to reach $25,000 in donations by December 31, 2020. Will you join with us to help us reach our goal? Support from generous individuals, like you, helps us invest in new programming for artists, educate the public on the value of creativity, and sustain this important work.
Together we are accomplishing big dreams for Greater Mankato.
