Established in 2016, Northern Film Alliance is a partnership of film festivals in the northern region of the United States. The mission of the alliance is to support the goals of its member festivals while serving as a conduit for film exhibition, education, and production.
While our Non-Profit Organization is new...NFA's programming has more than a decade of history. NFA's member festivals- the Duluth Superior Film Festival (Est. 2010), the EDU Film Festival (Est. 2007), and the Minnesota WebFest (Est. 2018), have delivered fiscally sponsored independent film exhibition and advocacy since 2007.
In 2019, NFA added the Horror High Film Camp to its educational offerings. Horror High provides an opportunity for youth filmmakers to experience a professional production and serve as a working member of the crew of a short horror film. Horror High Alumni have gone on to work as paid PAs on professional projects and have enrolled in film school to further their careers.
