The Lake Region Takes Root (LRTR) Community Garden raises nearly 18,000 pounds of healthy, local fruits and vegetables raised and harvested for the benefit of area food shelves and the Salvation Army in Battle Lake, Fergus Falls, and Pelican Rapids.

The LRTR Expansion Project aims to build another greenhouse and expand the garden to lengthen the growing season and provide even more food for those in need. Support the project by donating to the campaign, serving as a LRTR Garden Volunteer (contact Catlin at 218-736-8237), or stopping by the Lake Region Healthcare Fergus Falls clinic lobby on Wednesdays between 11-1 and donate in exchange for a bag of fresh popped corn!
