Karen Larson is a Chicago native, growing up in the South Holland area. She splits her time between her home in Lincoln Park and her primary residence in Naples, Florida. Karen is the Principal/Owner of Broad Avenue Studios, Inc., a nationwide interior design firm specializing in wellness. Her professional career also includes more than twenty years of experience in the financial industry, most notably as Director, Head of Advanced Sales for Deutsche Bank and President/Owner of Advanced Sales & Marketing, an industry pioneer in contract structure education.

The mother of two children, Karen is a Certified Financial Planner™ and a graduate of DePaul University. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, travel, reading and art.

As an avid, lifelong fan of dance, Karen was excited to be nominated as a participant of this year's competition. Her goal is to help raise money to support Giordano's outreach program designed to benefit Chicago's public school system. The funds raised will help enrich and inspire children living in under-served communities of the city, providing them exposure to the art of dance and resources otherwise unavailable to them.
