$1,300 goal

I personally am an adopter, volunteer, and foster for Ruff Start Rescue and words cannot express the impact this organization has on the animals and families we help every day. Your donation will go to supporting the care and supplies needed to help save animals and guide them to their forever families. It will also support our education programs and local resources we provide to families and their pets. I know this is a difficult time for many and that lots of requests for support are being made on everyone right now, but every donation helps.

This year my goal is the same as last year, $20 dollars per animal we have fostered since last year's GTTMD totaling $1,300. That's right, we have helped 65 animals on their rescue journey with Ruff Start Rescue since last year!

We have had several large litters of kittens and unfortunately due to the warm fall, we expect to have more kittens this year. These cuties were born in our home this spring and thanks to their amazing Mom, Zombie Cleo, they grew strong and healthy and were all adopted by great families. Zombie Cleo went on to be a working cat at an organic horse farm where she will have all the mice she could ever want and never has to worry about kittens again.

We have helped pups come back from being forgotten, lost, and alone to find their families. This guy was called Chuck Roast and he was found running stray in Minneapolis. Despite having a fancy collar and harness, no one came to claim him. We were able to take him in and give him a place to land until he found his forever family who fell in love with him right away!

We have been able to help several medical fosters, including Pearlescent Moon, who was seized from her previous owner due to serious neglect. She went from 80 pounds to 40 pounds in a short period of time due to several factors, including preexisting diabetes and thyroid issues. She is still fighting her way back to health and is looking for her forever family to help keep her safe and healthy from now on. She can be found on the Ruff Start Rescue website if you or someone you know are looking to adopt this sweet girl.
