Irish Fair of Minnesota supports youth soccer

Greetings, Friends of the Irish Fair!

Last year's campaign to sponsor a youth soccer team to play in the Target USA Cup tournament was so successful, we're going to do it again! This year, we'd like to help TWO teams - one from Dublin and one from Belfast. 

The funds we raise will go towards covering player registration fees, food, and lodging. To sweeten the deal, the Irish Fair of Minnesota will match donations raised via Give to the Max Day dollar-for-dollar! 

The feedback from the Linfield Ladies FC U-17 team we sponsored in 2023 (pictured) was that the experience of playing in the Target USA Cup was both fun AND valuable. 

This was many of the players' first experience with visiting or playing soccer in the US. Six of them were even offered scholarships to attend the University of Minnesota Duluth, so the exposure of this tournament potentially opened doors for them both athletically and academically!

With your generous donations we will be able to sponsor more youth soccer teams to compete in the Target USA Cup, enhancing the diversity of the tournament, and elevating the level of competition.
