$5,000 goal

Did you know it costs $25,000 to fund our robotics team for one year ($35,000 if we make it to the championships)?

That's not a typo.  Every year, that number seems daunting, and we know we could never reach our goal alone. The truth about robotics is that while it may seem like we are only building a robot, we are actually building a community.

The Automatons is a student led group - from business to build, students must learn to cooperate with one another, challenge each other to excellence, and dream big together. We want to ensure students can participate without the barrier of team fees and travel expenses many sports require. Your donation will go towards this very important and unique mission of including all.  It will allow us to continue to offer these opportunities to a diverse set of students in our community.

Please help us create a sustainable robotics program for Highland Park Senior High Robotics team 2823--THE AUTOMATONS:

Our fundraising will go toward the following investment for students:

Our dreams include:

  • a practice space, larger enough to host other teams and further build community. It just needs to be a large open space- nothing fancy
  • Larger equipment CNC router, mill and metal lathe (we can dream!)
  • More corporate sponsors. Our business team is ready to represent to you!

The Automatons participate in FIRST robotics challenges each year as well as many several community outreach activities to support STEM education. Through these activities students learn many real-world skills such as programming, strategy, design, project management, metal work, engineering, electrical, social media use, marketing, use of power tools, and many more. Thank you for supporting our annual fund-raising drive!
