Spero Academy Teacher and Classroom Supplies

“No one teaches for the money.” It’s a commonly uttered phrase, meant to illustrate the teaching profession as a calling, to which its practitioners are drawn and intrinsically motivated. This motivation, as the statement implies, is more than a paycheck. And if you’ve ever met a Spero teacher, you know how true this is. Teachers work tirelessly on behalf of their students, their community, and their own desire to reach students and improve education. Every year, teachers put in time and effort outside of their contracted work hours. And every year, teachers dig deep into their own pockets to purchase classroom supplies, materials for lessons, and tools for individual students to help them have a more personalized and successful school year. 

This Give to the Max Day, we ask our friends, family, and community to support our teachers with the same impassioned generosity with which they support their students. When you donate to our fundraiser this year, your donation will go directly to Spero Academy teachers to spend on classroom supplies and learning tools for their students. We ask everyone who has benefited from the benevolence and influence of a teacher to dig deep and Give to the Max!
