Graham was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma in April, 2013 at the age of 9. During his journey he decided to raise money and awareness by making and selling rubber band bracelets. Each bracelet is $1.00 and has a yellow bead that represents Childhood Cancer Awareness.
Graham's first experience at Children's was the same day that he received his cancer diagnosis. He was scared. He had a dream-team of medical experts to help him. He met Dr. Sensor and she showed him her scar from her Melanoma. It made him feel better and less anxious. Dr. Dassenko made his first surgery less painful by using a "J-Tip" to start his I.V, and child life gave him a blanket to take to the OR.
Graham's bracelet campaign has taken off! He has friends helping so he is able to get his orders out quickly! He has sent bracelets all over the United States and to Austrailia! Graham's bracelet brigade was even mentioned in a news story on Kare 11!http://www.kare11.com/news/article/1043138/396/Rainbow-Looms-bracelets-latest-craze-for-kids
It is Graham's hope that no child will ever have to go through what he has gone through, and that he will raise enough awareness and funds to make a difference! You can read more about Graham's Journey on his facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Grahams-Gift/1398192323746760
