Raise money to cover Arties prolapse surgery

We want to let you all know about Artie.  He came to rescue 10.5.24 from PineRidge rez, SD as stray and very emaciated. Obviously he had been on his own for quite a white and no meat on his bones..  We were told he had a prolapse where their had to put a stitch in his rectum area to keep his insides "inside".  Upon coming to MN he experienced much trouble pooping, straining very hard. We took him to our vet where they removed the stitch as it had been about a week since it was put in place. The vet sent home a case of ID canned dog food. This bill came to $475.00. Within 30 minutes, his insides prolapsed again. Off to an ER vet the foster went.  The ER vet was very nice and did an exam, determining he probably needed a surgery which could run from $5000 to $8000.  The next day surgery was performed and he came thru it like a real champ.  Every veterinary person said he was spunky, happy, lively and just a sweetheart.  Our final bill was $7155.00 with our vet and ER vet. Artie has recovered and is playing like a normal puppy.  He is gaining weight and we were able to give him a microchip.  We are hoping folks will help us cover this huge amount we paid to save this sweet Shepherd puppy's life.  We feel that every life is worth saving and do what ever is needed to provide them with quality of life.
