Impacting Youth Culture by ending Hunger

Faith City Church has been fighting Food insecurity since 2017. We first started closing the weekend gap for 50 families. We then offered hot meals 3 times a week. We hit the height during covid serving 10,000 meals but this past summer we hit a lull of 2500 meals and we spent $19,000 serving kids 3 days a week with a hot meal. 

We are in a new phase of our fundraising where we are going to now create cooks through youth development. We hope this is where you come in. We designing St.Paul first workforce development program that combines soft skills and hard skills in the Culinary Arts. 

We have designed a curriculum that will help youth have transferable skills in job placement and hard skills that cross-train in Grocery, Barista and Catering skills.  All of the food our students cook will feed those who are food insecure teaching them a sense of purpose not just training for work. 

We believe this is a cause that will change our city by feeding locally and creating a gap with chefs in the Twin Cities and beyond.
