Tunaydbah Field Hospital is located in Gadarif, Sudan and is operated by Minnesota-based Alight. Tunaydbah is just one of Alight's facilities hit by the freeze in foreign aid that took effect on January 24... It's days away from closing.
In civil war-torn Sudan, the hospital provides lifesaving services to tens of thousands of refugee families and Sudanese families. But it's the emergency obstetric care there that is so vital. Women who need an emergency c-section or other emergency intervention come to Tunaydbah. 50 emergency deliveries every month.
Their closest other option is a 2-day walk - mothers and babies in distress can't make that kind of trip.
$50,000 will keep the hospital running for another month.
Will you help us keep Tunaydbah open? Until 90 days, when foreign aid is supposed to return? The naked truth is women and their babies will die if we don't. YOUR SUPPORT SAVES LIVES:
- $50 can provide emergency nutrition, micronutrient support and supplemental feeding for malnourished kids under 5.
- $150 can provide sanitary supplies and equipment for the delivery room
- $250 can pay the weekly wages of lifesaving medical staff at the hospital.
The hospital is funded by UNFPA. UN agencies have also received funding cuts from the US Government. So, UNFPA has let us know that there funding has been cut and they'll have to stop funding Alight's hospital at Tunaydbah as a result.
