Continue Maria Genné's Legacy

It is with broken hearts that we share the news that our founder, Maria Genné has unexpectedly passed away.  The swift timeline has left us in a moment of transition and reflection. Even in this challenging time we hold fast to the future of Kairos Alive!. The work and programs that Maria created will live on and grow with the proper support.  We know that Maria would want her programs to continue and support the communities she served.  She sustained many hearts through dance, music and storytelling. These special programs offered so much empowerment, nurturing, healing and JOY. 

Maria worked tirelessly to create and provide programming for those that are often forgotten and overlooked in our current culture.  She brought the opportunity to stir the spirit to the surface through the heart and we are seeking the important funding to keep Kairos Alive! thriving long into the future.  

We believe that this fundraiser can help to continue Maria's vital work and sustain Kairos Alive!, even beyond this moment. Maria created community space, healing work, and soul sustainability through her work. We know that the greatest tribute to her would be to fund her organization to continue her legacy. 

No one can stop the march of time or the unexpected life experiences that come our way, but we can thrive regardless of our age, abilities and experiences.  If we can continue to create space for telling our stories, singing our songs and dancing our heart; we can always enliven our spirits.  There are very few organizations that take the time to be so thoughtful, inclusive and caring.  We all need space and funding to participate in events to ignite our inner fire. Kairos Alive! sees and tends to the essence of our humanity, one person at a time and in a format that embraces and creates community.
