Money raised to support the Barton Community School is used for student supports and programs that enhance the education experience at Barton that are NOT funded by district, state, or federal money. In 2022-23 we plan to spend over $30,000 on services like:
- Small group and one-on-one academic interventions with struggling students
- In-school food education
- Teacher stipends school supplies
- Art supplies
- Misc expenses (kids clothes for nurse's office, class projects, etc.)
Example costs:
- $3: Pack of pencils
- $10: 64 Colored Pencils
- $25: One hour of intervention
- $33: One month of teacher supply stipend
- $100: Half day of intervention
These are paid for by YOUR donations and fundraising activities. These would NOT be offered at Barton if not for your generous support.
All donations to support the Barton Community School are held by the Barton School Foundation and are tax-deductible. Funds are spent according to a budget developed by school staff and caregivers at the open Leadership Council meetings at the beginning of each year.
