"Itasca County Resorts"
It has been a long road to this exhibit. Collecting information, photos and stories from over 200 resorts has been a challenge worth waiting for. Starting from the local Chamber designing a plan to draw visitors to our area from Illinois, and Indiania, to the resortor who comes up from Minneapolis/St. Paul for the weekend to fish or hunt they all have a story to tell. Resorts were famous at one time to be family run for generations, that is not necessarily true in modern day ownership. Famous and sometimes infamous visitors stayed at our Itasca County Resorts.
