Arts are central to American Indian cultures. In most native languages there is no word for art, as it is ingrained in all aspects of the culture. Within the Twin Cities, the arts are a major economic driver and part of the community identity. However, native arts, and particularly those that were created in this region are underrepresented. All My Relations Arts and Gallery fill a critical space in the Twin Cities arts community, providing high-quality space and consistently recognized shows that raise up native arts from this region and provide access for native artists. Since 2011 NACDI has presented shows at All My Relations Gallery in the American Indian Cultural Corridor. The work provides a point of connection and conversation for the broader Twin Cities community to engage with the native community and build understanding and awareness for native cultures and challenges the community faces. We see strong potential for native arts in this region, and the Gallery is part of a coordinated set of strategies to develop a stronger and more visible native arts community in the Twin Cities.
Your support of All My Relations Arts ensures that we continue to be able to present quality shows, and provide substantial programming to create and maintain a vibrant arts presence for the native community.
