As the Development and Communications Coordinator at AmazeWorks, I have the privilege of working closely with a passionate community to bring belonging to life. I organize book launches to elevate identity-affirming children’s books, cultivate anti-bias resources to share in our newsletters, and learn alongside AmazeWorks founders, board members, donors, partners, and other supporters as we amplify our impact.

I've been part of this work for three years, but AmazeWorks has been championing belonging for 28 years—through seven presidential administrations. The future may be uncertain, but our work to champion belonging cannot and will not be stopped.

In spite of (and because of) my fear for what the upcoming administration may bring, I feel hope.

But when I say "hope," I do not mean passivity or toxic optimism. I mean investing in what I can control to strengthen my communities. And that hope is fierce.

Last year, I raised $1,550 to help AmazeWorks bring identity-affirming books into classrooms across Minnesota and the US.

This year, I want to raise $1,750 to invest in a fiercely hopeful future - a future that amplifies indispensable stories instead of banning them, believes people when they share who they are, and invites all people into conversation to create stronger, more connected communities.

Please join me in supporting AmazeWorks to create spaces where every story is valued and every person belongs.

Thank you for joining me in this work.

Together, our fierce hope can fuel belonging for all.
