Educational Resources for Undeserved Communities

Imagine the wonder of discovering a small sunflower seed you planted grow more than twice your size, especially when you have never grown anything before in your life.  This is just one example of the many special moments of discovery in SELF’s  “URBAN STEMS: the Science of Food” program.  It is exciting for students who face food scarcity daily to find out they can grow their own food as they explore the science of urban agriculture.  We are planning now for more Urban Stems and other STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering Art, Math) programs in 2021.  Please help SELF create more opportunities of exploration and learning with your donation during the GiveToTheMaxDay campaign, now until November 19. Your $25 donation will send one student to summer camp for a month.
