The idea for BOOM was born when artistic directors and siblings Dario Mejia and Giselle Mejia realized that the only dance performances in the Stillwater area community were local dance studio recitals. BOOM Dance Fest expands the visibility of exceptional dancers to audiences outside of the Twin Cities metropolitan area, using a safe, outdoor environment to build an annual tradition of dance performance in the community.
2024 will be the third year producing BOOM Dance Fest. Through the generosity of sponsors, Curio Dance keeps this festival free to an audience estimated to be between 700 and 1,000 people. There are a variety of opportunities to support this production and to be recognized for your generosity:
