$3,000 goal

As maternal morbidity and mortality continue to rise in rural communities, the need for obstetric and neonatal training grows.

The CALS OB/Neonate Course is designed to help rural healthcare personnel level up their care for obstetrical and neonatal patients, providing an interactive opportunity to hone critical life-saving skills.

This four-hour learning opportunity offers a unique learning experience for nurses and health care personnel to sharpen skills and enhance their abilities to provide emergency care for obstetrical and neonatal patients. It expands upon the skills covered in the two-day CALS Provider Course. This training is particularly crucial for hospitals who no longer have OB services at their facility.

It costs the CALS Program nearly $1000 to put on a CALS OB/Neonate Course in Minnesota. Meeting our #GivetotheMax Fundraiser goal of $3000 would cover the expenses for three OB/Neonate Courses in Minnesota and support the purchase of up-to-date resources and equipment for these specialty courses.
