To ensure all participants have access to enriching and life-enhancing programming that fits their needs and desires, ProAct is placing its 2024 GIVE MN focus on acquiring new vehicles to support our growing Employment and In Home Support Services and programs.

Individualized Home Supports (IHS) at ProAct is a lifeline for many individuals with disabilities. This essential program empowers participants to live independently in their own homes and communities.

Just two years ago, IHS served 23 individuals. Today, that number has soared to 61, with more joining every week. This surge in demand highlights the critical need for additional vehicles.

Each of our 16 dedicated IHS staff members relies on ProAct vehicles to visit participants at home and transport them into the community. These outings range from necessities like grocery shopping and medical appointments to exploring social situations like attending festivals and dining out.

By providing reliable transportation, we can:

  1. Enhance Independence: Enable participants to live more independently and confidently.
  2. Improve Quality of Life: Facilitate access to community resources and social activities.
  3. Promote Health and Wellness: Ensure timely medical appointments and healthy lifestyle choices.

All ProAct’s vans and cars have been assigned out and we would like to buy new vehicles so we can continue to expand and serve all participants in need of these valuable services.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 for Give to the Max Day, and your donation will aid individuals with disabilities with acquiring employment and living independent lives.

Thank you in advance for your gift and for your support of Minnesotans with disabilities!

Warmly,

The ProAct Team
