Jack is hungry, cold, and his backpack is heavy as he carries everything he owns with him each day. After a disabling injury last year, he lost his home and has been unable to find affordable housing on the fixed income of his monthly disability check. 

Jack shows up to the Damiano each morning for breakfast and coffee and to get out of the cold. He visits our Free Store for warm, dry clothing, and lightens the load in his backpack by storing items in the Safe Storage program. When he’s in need of basic hygiene items, such as soap, a toothbrush or a razor, Jack visits our Community Service office. Jack is one of many people in our community that need the services the Damiano Center provides.

 Your support has helped our Community Kitchen serve over 75,000 meals in the past twelve months. More than 250 people have been able to safely store their personal possessions in our Safe Storage program. Over 220,000 items have gone out through our Free Store during the last year.
