With our recent move to a larger space, we’ve launched an exciting growth initiative to expand our reach by 30%, bringing even more joy and meaningful connections to our neighbors. Thanks to incredible support from our community, we’re making great progress—but we need your help to cross the finish line!

At Bluebirds & Blooms, we are committed to brightening the lives of those too often forgotten in senior care communities—where 60% of residents never receive a single visitor. Our volunteers provide companionship through conversation and leave behind small, thoughtfully arranged bouquets tagged with a simple yet powerful message: "Thinking of You." This tangible reminder extends the physical and emotional benefits of our visits for another week, supporting residents' mental and physical well-being.

Our core program delivers monthly visits and flower bouquets to nearly 3,000 residents across 73 care communities in 20 cities throughout the Twin Cities metro area. In 2023 alone, we delivered 23,605 bedside bouquets to residents, and we recently celebrated delivering our 100,000 bouquet since our founding.

Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in every aspect of our work. All flowers are donated by generous floral partners and individuals, and we repurpose recycled jars and tin cans as vases. With the help of more than 150 dedicated volunteers who contribute an average of 500 hours per month to collect the flowers, arrange and deliver these heartfelt bouquets.  In addition, compost more than 17,000 pounds of organic material annually.

Your contribution will help us brighten more days and uplift even more lives. Join us in spreading joy and connection—together, we can make a difference!
