You may not know this about me but when I started my acting career in 1991, all that I wanted from that career was to be a part of a resident ensemble of artists. An ensemble of artists all working together for the betterment of one organization with a mission of telling impactful stories on a stage. 2024 marks my 13th year of being connected, immersed, entangled, and deeply rooted in the Commonweal Theatre Company. I have never lived in one place for as long a period as I have in Lanesboro, MN. I have never held a job with the same company as long as I have at the Commonweal. For as long as I can remember, I have had a wanderlust and held a perspective that in the next town, the grass will be greener. In 2012, that sense of being and that perspective washed away.

My roots in SE MN are now strong beneath me and the roots of the Commonweal Theatre Company are even stronger. It is amazing to say that a professional theatre started in 1989 is now an anchor of a town populated by 754 people. To say that I want that theatre company to remain as that anchor for the next 50 years and then some is an understatement. And so, that is why a fundraising campaign like this one is so very important to me. Well-oiled machines still rely on dollars and cents to function. We at the Commonweal may rely on it more than the average machine but rely on it we do. The amount you donate to my fundraising page will be deeply appreciated and automatically apply to the Commonweal's organizational page. Thanks for reading my story. Thanks for supporting my artistic home. I hope you can come visit that home very soon. I'd love to see you.

Cheers!

Jeremy
