In times like these, hope isn’t just a word—it’s a commitment.

As a middle school teacher, I found hope in my students, and their embodiment of fierce hope inspired me every day. When I left the classroom five years ago, I deeply grieved the loss of that daily inspiration from children, and I wondered if my new position at AmazeWorks would bring me the same inspiration. One thing I knew for certain, however, was that my work would still be in the service of children.

Here I am still at AmazeWorks, and more proud than ever to be a part of such an outstanding team. Not only do I love my colleagues who have lifted me up through countless challenges in the last five years, but I find fierce hope in the work we do. Our work champions belonging, which couldn’t be more important in this time of deep division in our country. The future may be uncertain, but our dedication to lifting every voice remains unwavering, and we are committed to remaining fiercely hopeful.

For 28 years, AmazeWorks has championed belonging for all—through seven presidential administrations. The work to champion belonging, a universal human need, cannot and will not be stopped.

That's why I'm inviting you to join me in being #FiercelyHopeful in belonging for all. Hope means investing in the strength of our communities, especially during polarizing and challenging times.

One way to stay fiercely hopeful is to support causes that sustain our communities, like creating spaces where every story is valued and every person feels they belong. That's why I'm raising $1,000 to continue uplifting the voices and stories of all identities with AmazeWorks.

Plus, a match of $7,500 will give your donation twice the impact.

Please stand with me to make hope more than a feeling—let’s make it a powerful action.

Thank you for your support and your fierce hope,

Melissa (Mel) Andersen ❤
