An affiliate of the Southwest Initiative Foundation, the Worthington Area Foundation benefits the Worthington area in Minnesota.

Mission Statement
To promote charitable giving by assisting donors in the establishment of funds and memorials, which will provide lasting benefits to the Worthington community.

Grant total since inception (including grants made for operating expenses): $67,598

Fiscal Year 2017 Grantmaking

Adrian Girl Scouts for council events, outings and learning that enhance the scouting experience

American Legion Argonne Post #32 for a Northern Tier High Adventure camping and canoeing experience for Boy Scout Troop #32

Cultural Awareness Organization:
to support the International Festival that provides an educational/entertainment stage for folk and traditional artists to perform
to support the International Festival that provides education and entertainment

Friends of the Auditorium, Inc. to create a live stage feed during a performance into the lobby area of Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center

Historic Worthington, Inc. to purchase additional serving dishes and items at the Historic Dayton House

St. Mary's Church to support the Student Citizenship Project designed to educate students on their rights, privileges and duties as U.S. citizens

ISD #518 - Worthington: 
to bring an band instructor to help with music, marching, sound quality and visuals for an award-winning production
to kick-start the Million Words Club, a way to recognize students in the Middle School who have read a million words

Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest together to purchase classroom kits that educate students about personal and business finance

Kids-R-It Incorporated:
to put an epoxy floor covering in the food service area of the child care center

Our Lady of Guadalupe Free Clinic focus on leadership and advocacy training for advocates of domestic violence

Worthington Area Symphony Orchestra to purchase 14 musician chairs for rehearsals and concerts
