St. Paul Preparatory School

St. Paul Preparatory School was the first school established in the Nacel International School System, serving as its model high school.

St. Paul Preparatory School (SPP) is a private high school located in downtown St. Paul. SPP provides a truly global education by delivering a unique educational experience to students from the Twin Cities and all over the world; over 70 different countries have been represented at SPP.

Please consider donating to St. Paul Preparatory School’s World Class Scholarship Fund. The World Class Scholarship Fund provides advanced and exceptional students from marginalized countries with partial or full scholarships to SPP.

By contributing to the World Class Scholarship fund, you will help provide a truly global and more collaborative education for students with limited financial means. Your contribution will make a tremendous difference in these students' lives. We appreciate your support of St. Paul Preparatory School, which helps us provide an international education to students from all over the world.

St. Paul Preparatory School, originally known as Nacel International School, opened its doors in a small space at Hamline University in September 2003. The goal was to offer local students an opportunity to gain cultural experience and global understanding without leaving their homes and families, while international students would have a safe cultural immersion in an accredited high school in the U.S. The original class of 24 students represented 10 countries.

To date, hundreds of students from more than 50 countries have attend classes at the downtown St. Paul campus. As the Nacel International School System expands abroad, St. Paul Preparatory School continues to thrive in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, with additional educational opportunities available to students each year.

St. Paul Preparatory School offers students a unique educational experience through every facet of our program. Students come to St. Paul Prep to prepare for their futures while learning more about the world, and ultimately themselves.

Our curriculum provides students with quality, college preparatory academics and enrichment through the arts and physical education. Our classes are taught from a culturally relativistic perspective and take advantage of the wealth of diversity within our student body. Through our course offerings, we meet the educational needs of a wide range of students, from those with limited English ability to those requiring substantial academic rigor. As an added benefit, St. Paul Prep students may be eligible to enroll in university courses during their 11th and 12th grade years.
