Mission

University Cooperative School is a community of children, teachers, and families. Together, we create an environment that is both vital and caring. At our school, children deepen their love of learning, build confidence in their voices, and come to value their own gifts and those of others. We respect each child's unique nature and foster in our children a strong sense of belonging-the knowledge that they are accepted and valued for who they are.

Description

University Cooperative School is a K-5 elementary school that has been operating in the University District since 1975. We currently enroll 90 students, provide financial aid to families in need, and provide opportunities for parents to participate in a cooperative community. University Cooperative School emphasizes social and emotional learning, the arts, outdoor and service learning as well as engaging academics. At University Cooperative School, childhood is a journey, not a race.
